Embassy of Viet Nam in Japan hosted the 29th Asia Africa Arab Meeting at the Embassy of Viet Nam in Tokyo

On November 1, the Embassy of Viet Nam in Japan in collaboration with the Asia - Africa - Arab 55 organized the 29th AAA annual meeting at the Embassy of Viet Nam in Japan. The meeting was attended by Mr. Yamada Junichi, senior deputy executive director of JICA, Mr. Nakamura Ryo, Assistant Minister, Director General of Southeast Asia and South Asia Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. Onouchi Takahiro, CEO of FPT Consulting Japan and more than 100 delegates, including representatives of more than 40 embassies of Asian, African and Middle Eastern embassies in Japan, representatives of some ministries, organizations and more than 50 Japanese businesses.

 In his opening speech, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu highly appreciated the role of the AAA55 in connecting Japanese businesses with embassies of Asian and African countries in the past 6 years, which has contributed to promoting Japanese investment to countries in Asia and Africa. The Ambassador emphasized that Asia and Africa are two regions with many complementary advantages and if the two regions cooperate and develop, this will not only contribute to promoting global economic growth but also contribute to the stability, prosperity and sustainable development of the world and the region.

The Ambassador said that Vietnam is currently one of the most dynamic and attractive economies in Asia, becoming an important link in multi-dimensional economic connection in the global supply and value chain. With a young and abundant workforce, a stable economic and political environment, and favorable conditions for investment and business, Vietnam is opening up many opportunities for cooperation with businesses from countries in the world and especially Asia and Africa.

Mr. Hisafumi Koga, President of the AAA55  said that 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam, which is of great significance to the two countries, especially in a context where the world is facing many challenges.Japan always considers Vietnam an investment market with great potential and Vietnam is an important partner in the fields of economics, trade and investment.
