The Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam in Japan has the honor to inform the latter the latest update for foreigners, overseas Vietnamese and their relatives who wish to enter Viet Nam.

(i)               Foreigners, overseas Vietnamese and their relatives with valid entry documents (permanent residence card, temporary residence card, visa, visa exemption certificate) are allowed to enter Viet Nam, according to the provisions of the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit, Residence of Foreigners in Viet Nam and Decree No.82/2015/ND-CP dated September 24, 2015, WITHOUT the need to (i) prepare procedures for personnel inspection and approval, prepare visa/visa exemption certificates again, (ii) apply for entry approval from relevant ministries, agencies and local provinces.

(ii)             For foreigners who do not have a visa: Provincial People's Committees continue to consider, approve and create favorable conditions for those who wish to enter Viet Nam for business purposes, attending conferences, seminars, studying, or humanitarian purposes; The competent Ministries and agencies under the Central Government shall decide on the invitation, welcoming and taking responsibility for handling these foreigners.
