The Embassy of Vietnam in Japan Hosts a Meeting with Miss International Huỳnh Thị Thanh Thủy

Miss Thanh Thủy will continue to stay in Japan and participate in activities organized by the Miss International pageant committee. She is expected to return to Vietnam on November 18.

On the afternoon of November 15, the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan hosted a meeting to congratulate and interact with Miss Huỳnh Thị Thanh Thủy, who won the title of Miss International 2024 on November 12 in Japan.

According to the Vietnam News Agency’s correspondent in Tokyo, the meeting was attended by the Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan, Phạm Quang Hiệu, and his wife, Minister Nguyễn Đức Minh, along with other staff and their families from the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan. The event also featured representatives from the Miss International Organization and the four runners-up: Bolivia (1st runner-up), Spain (2nd runner-up), Venezuela (3rd runner-up), and Indonesia (4th runner-up).

In his speech, Ambassador Phạm Quang Hiệu expressed his pride and congratulations to Miss Thanh Thủy for her outstanding victory, making her the first Vietnamese to win the Miss International title. He also extended congratulations to the four runners-up, who had brought pride to their respective countries.

         For her part, Miss Thanh Thủy expressed her happiness at winning the crown at Miss International. She thanked the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan for organizing the meeting and praised the support from her family, friends, and everyone in Vietnam who had always been by her side during her journey.

As Miss International 2024, Thanh Thủy pledged to continue working hard and dedicating herself to deserving the trust and love of the public both in Vietnam and internationally, and to reciprocate the support and affection from her fans in Vietnam.

          In an interview with the Vietnam News Agency, Miss Thanh Thủy shared that the most important factor in her success was discipline. During the competition, the judges closely observed the contestants in every small detail, such as punctuality, maintaining a polished appearance, and not negatively affecting the group dynamics. Additionally, the contestants needed to be open to networking, learning, and connecting with others.

         Miss Thanh Thủy will remain in Japan to participate in more activities organized by the Miss International committee. She is expected to return to Vietnam on November 18.

          Regarding her future plans, Thanh Thủy mentioned that after returning to Vietnam, she plans to travel to different regions of the country to share her joy with the people. She also intends to participate in meaningful community activities.

Born in 2002, standing 1.76 meters tall, Thanh Thủy is from Da Nang. She is currently studying at both the University of Foreign Languages (University of Da Nang) and Greenwich University Vietnam. She has basic communication skills in English and Korean.

The Miss International pageant is one of the largest beauty contests in the world, alongside Miss World and Miss Universe. It was first held in 1960 and is annually organized in Japan.
