Call for Support for People in Vietnam Affected by Typhoon No. 3 (YAGI)

Typhoon No. 3 (YAGI) and its aftermath have severely devastated the northern regions of our country, causing significant loss of life and property. With the guidance and support of the Party and State, and the combined efforts of the armed forces, local authorities, and the affected people, relief and recovery efforts are being carried out swiftly and urgently. However, the damage caused by this natural disaster is overwhelming, and further support is still needed from our compatriots both within and outside the country, including the Vietnamese community here in Japan.

In respond to the call of General Secretary and President To Lâm, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, the Embassy of Viet Nam in Japan urges all individuals, organizations, and associations within the Vietnamese community in Japan to demonstrate the spirit of unity and compassion by providing the highest, fastest, and most timely support to those affected by Typhoon No. 3.

Support can be provided as follows:

a. For general donations: Vietnamese expatriates and organizations are encouraged to transfer their donations to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front using the attached bank account information.

b. For individuals or organizations wishing to donate cash or in-kind items directly: Please contact the Embassy of Viet Nam in Japan or the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs for assistance and guidance (for direct handover to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front).

c. For donations directed to specific regions affected by the disaster: Please contact the Embassy of Viet Nam in Japan for detailed instructions.

d. Initial deadline for contributions: Until the end of September 21, 2024.
